Oriental
Medicine is a comprehensive system of health care with a continuous
clinical tradition of over 5000 years. It includes acupuncture and
herbal medicine and exercise. These therapies work with the natural
vital energies inherent within all living things to promote the body's
ability to heal itself. This system of health care is used extensively
by one-quarter of the world's population who reside in the Orient
and is rapidly growing in popularity in the West.
A Professional staff will be attending this year's matsuri to introduce
you to this health care system, answer questions, and provide some
evaluation.

Dr.
Jyun Shimizu is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Washington,
with a diploma from the National Certification commission for Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine. He received his Master of Science degree from
Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington.
Therapeutic Massage: a massage therapist will be demonstrating seated
massage.

Posture
Alignment Check: Improving Posture should be at the forefront of everyone's
mind. Correct posture not only improves appearance, coordination,
health, strength and stamina, it also boosts confidence, improves
agility, balance and aids in mental development. Posture Check will
be performed.
