Tsubaki Kannagara Aikido conducts a full schedule of Aikido Training at Tsubaki Grand Shrine of America (17720 Crooked Mile Road, Granite Falls, WA 98252), the direct branch of the oldest Shinto shrine in Japan and the only Jinja Shinto Shrine in the contiguous U.S.A. This is a unique opportunity to experience aikido movement in a pristine and energizing natural setting. Reverend Koichi Barrish, Senior Priest of Tsubaki America has been the teacher of aikido for more than 35 years. We can understand Aikido through this simple equation: Jujitsu + Shinto = Aikido. Tsubaki Kannagara Aikido welcomes practitioners of all levels who would like to explore the spiritual roots and physical meaning of Aiki Waza.
