Seattle
Chito-ryu is a member dojo of the US Koshin-ha Chito-kai. We began
as a group in September of 2005 and our classes are held in the South
Bellevue Community Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Our classes emphasize the traditional training methods of kata (forms)
and also include free sparring practice and refinement of practical
self-defense techniques based on the traditional kata. Every class
includes plenty of sweating, ample attention to the mind-body connection
that makes a traditional martial art different from an aerobics class,
and a balance between serious training and fun.
The chief instructor, Dr. Keith Dipboye, MD, has 29 years of experience
training and teaching.
