| Tsunami
Taiko has been performing and sharing the joy of taiko throughout
the Pacific Northwest since 1990. Although the group was originally
formed as the first youth taiko group in the Seattle area, Tsunami
has since evolved into an ensemble of seasoned taiko performers. Each
of the members have been studying taiko since childhood and have developed
a passion for the art through their many years of experience. In addition to longtime members of the group, Tsunami also includes members originally from Kona Daifukuji Taiko. As a result, the group’s compositions reflect fusions of Japanese, Hawaiian, and American influences, with a style that is unique to each member’s individual taiko background. |
