| Keeping
Japanese koi fish in our ponds has become an amazingly popular hobby
over the last several decades and rightly so. Watching koi in our
ponds is very enjoyable but it is also a responsibility, as you have
to maintain an entire ecosystem, of which the healthy and vibrant
koi is the pinnacle of success. |
|
Learning
how to care for your koi, as well as the admiration of these fish,
is actually a fun part of koi fish care, as you watch your koi develop
over the years.
It's a good idea, especially for beginners, to spend some time learning
about the hobby before setting up their first koi pond of course,
as koi require a significant investment in time and money.
Join Dick's discussion of how best to approach the life-long learning
task of keeping healthy koi in the northwest.
Dick's presentation will cover:
- A brief history of koi in Japan
- Basic color varieties
- Koi Care (Fall - Winter - Spring - Summer)
- Q & A
