presented by the Eastside Nihon Matsuri Association (ENMA)

(Please note that some workshops/lectures/seminar require registration

Aki Matsuri features:
|

Kimono
... Two kimono specialists from Tokyo will attend the Aki Matsuri
to educate the matsuri visitor about kimono. There will be a demonstration,
display, and workshop of the exquisite Tokyo Tegaki Yuzen (Edo Yuzen)
by a master craft person, Mr. Osamu Hyodo. |

Mikoshi
Gishiki ... A full-scale Omikoshi from Tsubaki Grand Shrine of
America will be on display during the two-day events. From
12:30 pm on September 11 (Saturday), there will be a Shinto
ceremony to purify the Omikoshi followed by the Omikoshi procession
in the campus courtyards. Matsuri visitors are welcome to join in!

Featured
Film: "Miyori in the Sacred Forest (Miyori no Mori)"
will be shown just after the Saturday's closing of the 2010 Aki Matsuri
on September 11. So, please visit Aki Matsuri on Saturday and stay
for the film screening! Tickets will be distributed at the booth hosted
by the Consulate-General of Japan Seattle Office in the GYM all day
Saturday (10 am - 6 pm) on a first come, first served basis. |
